United States Congressman--Sam Johnson Visits Dorsey
On February 11th our U.S. Congressman, Sam Johnson, paid a visit to Dorsey Elementary. He came to pick up the bags of Valentine's cards that Dorsey students wrote for the recovering soildiers. While he was here he shared with the students about his time in the armed services and took time to answer questions.
Grandparents Day at Dorsey This year we had nearly 300 grandparents join us at school as we honored our grandparents. They came from near and far to join in the fun. We had grandparents from Texas, Oklahoma, Louisiana, Minnesota and Bolivia! Two grandmothers had three grandchildren at Dorsey! Also, two grandparents have not missed a grandparents day since Dorsey opened 12 years ago. We hope that all of our grandparents felt honored and special.
