Steadham's Teacher of the Year.....drum roll please!!!

Melanie Farrell is an amazing teacher teacher who loves her job.  She is passionate about not only learning, but the well-being of each child in her class.  Melanie is not only a strong teacher but a wonderful friend to others.  Melanie is on the our schools Campus Improvement team.  She also served as the PTA liaison for 2 years and kept us well informed.  She is one of a few original Steadham eagles left which she is proud of and feels blessed to be a part of the faculty.

Congratulations Mrs. Farrell!!!

 Second Grader's Love America!

2nd graders are having a great time studying American symbols. They have used their creative minds while making their American symbols using clay, cardboard, toys, and many different items.   These wonderful projects were set up in the science lab so other students, teachers and parents could come view the displays. They did a great job and learned so much about our country.

 5th Grade Learning the Facts

In preparation for the math TAKS test, 5th grade students reviewed their multiplication facts by performing multiplication rap songs.  The PRM Rappers ( Positive Role Model Rappers) would like to encourage all students to practice their multiplication facts nightly.  Memorization is very important and will help you be successful in all areas of math.  Remember you too can become a Steadham PRM Rapper by learning your FACTS

Cool Science - Critters
In this game students match one animal with another animal of the same classification (ie: match a dog with a cat because both are mammals). Then students answer a question about what animals of that classification have in common. This is a simple game, but still a great way to quickly review basic animal classification. This would also be useful to work with special education students.
