The primary goal of the RHS Parent Teacher Student Association (PTSA) is to promote communication and cooperation between the students, the parents, and the faculty.
We realize that there are a million organizations requesting your time and resources, but, few work to benefit the entire student body as PTSA does. Why should you join PTSA? How will this benefit you and your child?
- COMMUNICATION - We cannot emphasize this enough. When you join PTSA we ask for your e-mail address. We use this as our communication line to notify parents of what is going on, and, parents notify us so that we can pass on information they have become aware of. We e-mail the school's announcements to the parents so they too will know when club meetings are being held, when try-outs are being held, and what activities in general are going on.
- JOB FAIR - The PTSA sponsors a job fair in the spring. Area companies that are looking to hire summer help, or graduating seniors join us and students are offered an opportunity to present their resumes and meet with the recruiters. Companies that have attended include Wet Zone, Hawaiian Falls, Wal-Mart, Tom Thumb, Albertsons, Fed-Ex, UPS, Abercrombie & Fitch, and Pac Sun just to name a few.
- PROGRAMS - We will be presenting several programs this year including a program on college preparedness and what parents should do each high school year to get your students ready.
- SCHOLARSHIPS - If you , or your student, are members of PTSA their junior and senior year, then your student is eligible to receive a scholarship at the end of their senior year.
