The National Art Honor Society (NAHS) is a professional organization aimed at recognizing those students with an outstanding ability in Art. The organization helps members achieve their goals in art areas and brings art education to the school and to the community. NAHS members work to integrate art into other school activities: sponsor events, exhibits and speakers: plan field trips to community businesses associated with art and to art museums: and plan activities for members to expand their art skills suck as workshops. The Rowlett High School chapter of NAHS would connect local high school students to other art students across the nation and provide them with the opportunity to advertise their accomplishments and expose them to endeavors of other students their age in the same organization. NAHS provides scholarship opportunities and information about art careers and conventions that are pertinent to serious art students.
