Announcements

It is time for senior girls to plan for the powder puff game against the juniors. This year it will be before the Spring Football Game on Thursday, May 22. If you are interested in playing, stop by the senior wall and sign up. We will start practices the week of May 5. Any senior boys interested in coaching, stop by and sign up on the senior wall, also. If you have any questions, see one of the Class of 2008 sponsors.

The last day to order senior brunch or senior trip tickets is May 9. There will be no additions or returns permitted after May 9.

All seniors need to be sure and report all scholarship offers ( 35KB) with the dollar amounts to the Counseling Center. Students should report all offers even those they have no intention of accepting. We must record and report this to the administration building and we want to recognize you and your achievements at the May 15 Senior Awards Program.

NHS - All NHS Seniors must turn in their hours sheet to Mr. Gracy by April 28. If you wish to wear an NHS stole at graduation, you must also bring $20. If Mr. Gracy has not received your hours sheet and $20 by April 28, you will not have an NHS stole to wear at graduation.

AP Exams - May 5 through May 16

Loss of Credit Sessions - Will be held on the week of May 12 through May 16 from 2:30 - 5:30. Each session costs $10.

Honors Graduate Banquet - May 13 at Hella Temple at 6:00 p.m.

Senior Awards Night - May 15 at 7:00 p.m.

Senior Brunch/Luncheon - May 17, 2008 at the Atrium in Garland. Come 'n Go festivity with specific showing times of the senior video. Volunteers needed to help decorate (balloons, confetti, etc.) We will get the Class of '09 parents to help with registration to allow '08 parents to enjoy the luncheon.

Senior Field Trip - May 20, 2008 at Reunion Ranch, Chaperones needed.

Senior Exams - 4th and 5th period exams are on Friday, May 23, and 1st, 2nd, and 3rd period exams are on Tuesday, May 27.

Graduation Rehearsal - Rehearsal will be held on Wednesday, May 28, from 3:00 - 5:00. If it goes well, you will be released earlier.

Graduation - Students must report to the Special Events Center by 6:00 p.m. on Thursday, May 29 for graduation.

Diplomas - Senior teachers will distribute diplomas on Monday, June 2 in the gym.

If you want to sign up to help with any of these events, please let me know. Be sure to have a Background Check form already turned in or do so.

All seniors be sure to stop by rooms 1106 and 1108 to check out your senior wall. All events and information will be posted out side of Ms. Watlington's and Ms. Branch's rooms.

Prom theme is Pearl Harbor- Captured in Time. The senior song will be I will remember you. Senior flower is the White Rose and the Senior colors are Silver and Black. The senior motto is "Dream as if you'll live forever; Live as if you'll die today."
