Baseball Playoffs

Congratulations to the Eagle's Baseball team for winning two consecutive games against Tyler on May 9 and May 10. RHS will advance to the third round of playoffs against Allen High School. Game 1 will be played on Thursday, May 15, at 7:30 p.m. in Allen and Game 2 will be played on Friday, May 16, at 4:30 p.m. at RHS. If a third game is needed, it will be played at Newman Smith on Saturday, May 17.

Exemptions

The preliminary exemption list for senior exam exemptions is posted in the hallway by the gym. If any corrections are needed they must be corrected in the attendance office by Monday, May 12. Fines must be paid and corrections submitted by 2:40 p.m. on Monday May 12.

Library Books Due

All library books are due on Monday, May 12. Please return all books by that day to avoid the fines list and loss of exemptions.

Loss of Credit

Senior loss of credit is scheduled for Monday, May 12, through Friday, May 16. It will be from 2:30 – 5:30 and each session costs $10. If a senior is on the loss of credit list, the senior should report on the first day, May 12, and have their money. All money or equipment owed the school must be paid by Monday, May 12, if they wish to be exempt from finals or before graduation rehearsal. All money must be paid to be cleared for graduation. Seniors will not be permitted to participate in graduation if not cleared by rehearsal.

Underclassman loss of credit is scheduled for the week of May 19 through May 23.

Spring Football Game

The annual Spring Football Game will be held at HBJ on May 22. The cost will be $2.00 for adults and $1.00 for students. In addition to the football game, the annual Powder Puff game (Junior vs. Senior girls) is scheduled for 4:00 p.m. and the new Varsity Cheerleaders and SRD Officers will be presented. Mark your calendars and plan to be at HBJ on Thursday afternoon, May 22, for some great football.

Sports Physicals

The RHS Athletic Department will be offering sports physicals on May 27 from 5:00 - 8:00 p.m. in the gymnasium. The cost of the physicals is $20.00, cash. No checks will be accepted. All incoming freshmen and grade 9-12 RHS athletes are welcome to participate in the sports physicals on May 27. For questions or additional information, please contact Coach Langham.

• Parent Permission forms for early graduation
• Parent Permission forms for Senior Release
• Dual Credit Applications **If you have requested dual credit but have not received an application, they are available in the counseling office.

Note: If you have requested dual credit but have not received an application, they are avai8lable in the counseling office. The deadline for returning these applications has been extended to May 7. All of these forms may be turned in to the Counseling Office.

UNT Dallas Campus

Seniors planning to attend the UNT Dallas Campus - undergraduate students interested in the fields of business, education, human services managements and leadership, sociology and criminal justice will automatically receive a $2500 scholarship when you enroll in 15 credit hours of daytime classes. Take 12 credit hours in business and education to receive a $2000 scholarship. See Mrs. Lyon in the Counseling Center for more information

Pre-AP & AP English

All Pre-AP & AP English students must do summer reading. Make sure you receive your assignment from your current English Pre-AP teacher, your current AP English teacher, or from the summer reading link on the RHS web site.

Mrs. Weiler would like all second trimester Pre-AP English I students who have not picked up their cookie and the summer reading list to stop by room 2120 and do so the week of April 28, before or after school.
