Webb Middle School Library Media Center
Library Hours: 8:00 – 4:30Librarian: Debra Goheen The Webb Library Media Center’s most important function is to support the school’s curriculum and to provide interesting and entertaining books for both students and faculty. To achieve these services the library maintains a basic reference section, biography collection as well as nonfiction and a large fiction collection. Many of the books in the collection are Accelerated Reader books, especially the fiction section. We are proud to have over 12,800 titles available for student check out. The WMS Library/Media Center’s main goal is to help students develop a love of reading to carry them through life for not only educational needs but for enjoyment.
Library InformationVisiting the LibraryStudents are welcome to check out books before or after school and anytime during the day when they come as a class or with a pass from their teacher. The library is available before school as a place to study, read or research. Students must have a pass to come to the library before or after school. During the school day, the student must have a planner pass signed by a teacher.
Checking out a bookStudents are allowed to check out 3 items at a time. Books are checked out for 3 weeks. The date the book is to be returned will be stamped on the front of the book with a date due sticker.
FinesA fine (excluding weekends and holidays) per book is charged on overdue books. A fine is not charged until the book is 10 days late. At the end of that ten day period, the fine is $1.00.
