Art

Ms. Bennett stands ready at her door.

Our art teacher is Mrs. Marjorie Bennett.

Students engage in art lessons centered on the Texas Essential Knowledge and Skills for each grade level with a   focus on the elements and principles of design.  Students   learn about famous artists throughout history, and create   artwork in their style.  Using a variety of media, Armstrong   students experiment with different techniques to create some amazing art!

Our music teacher is Mr. James Duty

All Armstrong students attend music class weekly. Here they learn vocal, instrumental music to show understanding of music literacy, creative expression and  historical and cultural relevance.

In addition, the award winning Armstrong Honor Choir is open to all 4th and 5th grade students who love to sing and are selected for a spot after an audition process.  The choirs will perform at  an end of the year competition and on various field trips.

The  Honor Choir also works throughout the school year to prepare for winter and spring concerts.
