Celebrating Black History Month

On Monday, February 26, 2024 at 6:00 p.m. in the Caldwell cafeteria, we will be celebrating Black History month with an exciting program. Caldwell students will be singing and reading poems that highlight famous African-Americans. Student art will also be on display in the hallways. It will be a fabulous celebration of fine arts and culture.

Family Art Night

Students in all grades at Caldwell Elementary learn about art and music through a comprehensive arts and music integrated curriculum that involves higher order thinking skills.

Honor Choir

Music Program

Our students are all learning the songs that will be performed by our Caldwell Honor Choir.  If students would like to be part of the performing Honor Choir, there will be 2 after school practices.  Our first after school performance will be at our October 4 Cultural Literacy Night. Ms. Haynes will be providing practice dates soon.

There are many opportunities for our students to be enriched by the arts. Art learning is a way to improve motivation, concentration, confidence, and teamwork within our school. If you should have any suggestions or questions, we are always available to you.

At home art fun

Just because the school day ends, that doesn't mean that the fun has to end!  Get creative!

Try some of these ideas:

  • Decorate your neighborhood with sidewalk chalk
  • Recycle boxes and other materials into a sculpture
  • Empty the broken crayons out of your backpack and melt them into oversized crayons (talk to mom and dad about this)
  • Paint a rock
  • Pick flowers and press them with wax paper and books.
  • Go on a picnic and draw what you see.
  • Pick flowers and make a crown.
