Checkout Procedures
Kindergarten - Students may check out 1 book starting the spring semester.
1st & 2nd grade - 1 book
3rd, 4th & 5th grade - 2 books
Students check out books during their weekly classes in the library. The checkout period is one week, but they are encouraged to return at any time to get another book.
If students are working on a class project, they are allowed to check out additional books.
Overdue Materials
Overdue notices are printed each week and sent home. Fines are not charged for overdue books, but students are required to pay for lost or damaged books. Students who have overdue or lost books may not check out other books.
Reading Renaissance
Reading Renaissance is a goal orientated program based on each individual’s reading ability. Many books which now have quizzes available may not be in the Kimberlin Library. Here is a link which parents and students may use to search for titles with quizzes and for book levels.
