News, Events, and Announcements

Great Bison Pick-up

On Tuesday, 3/3, we will have our semi-annual Great Bison Pick-up.  We will kick off the event with an information-sharing session hosted by the O'Banion counselors.  The main topic for discussion is House Bill 5 and how it will affect our current 8th graders next year.  Parents and families of all grade levels are welcome to attend.  The info-session starts at 5:00 p.m., followed by the Great Bison Pick-up at 5:30 p.m.

Pennies for Patients

We will have our annual Pennies for Patients the week of 3/2 - 3/6.  All the proceeds will go to Leukemia Lymphoma Society in the fight against blood cancer.    We will have a few activities to help raise money in the fight.

Monday, 3/2, through Thursday, 3/5, we will have a 2nd Period Class Competition.  The 2nd period class that raises the most money will win an Olive Garden Pasta Party with pasta, salad and bread sticks!  Second and third place classroom winners will win a Cupcake Party and an Ice-Cream Party! Every penny counts!

Friday, 3/6, will be Dress for the Cause Day.  Students pay $3 to wear free dress.  Remember, all proceeds will go to the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society, so bring $3 and join in the Fight Against Blood Cancer!

  • Donations are spent on patient and community services, research, public health and professional education.
  • All coins, paper money, checks and online donations are graciously accepted.
  • Checks should be made payable to “Leukemia & Lymphoma Society”.

Principal's Coffee

All parents are invited to Principal's Coffee on Tuesday, 3/18, from 7:15 - 8:00 a.m. in the O'Banion Library. This is a great opportunity to meet Mr. Tucci and talk with him regarding the happenings at O'Banion. Mr. Tucci is very excited to meet the parents of our wonderful student body!

PTA/Parent Info Night

The next PTA/Parent Night is scheduled for Tuesday, 3/18, from 5:00 - 6:15 p.m.  Our math, social studies and English language arts departments will be hosting the event.  Join us and learn more about what your children are doing in their core classes.

Students who need Grade Recovery assistance may get help from O'Banion teachers.  Any student who failed a subject on his/her report card is welcome to join us and work on Edgenuity. Edgenuity is also available to anyone who has the internet.
