Summer Hours

School offices are open Monday through Thursday from 7:30 a.m. until 5 p.m. during the summer. The offices are closed for lunch from noon until 1 p.m.

Attention Students: NEW PLANNER POLICY

Rowlett High School will distribute official school planners to all students to be used during 2014-2015 school year. These planners will be used to note important dates, document tutorials, and keep track of service hours. Additionally, planners will serve as a hall pass for all students. During the first week of school, students will be provided one planner at no cost, as they will be required to use it throughout the year.

Flight School

Flight School is the RHS version of Freshman Orientation.  The date for this year's Flight School is Tuesday, August 12.  Check-in will begin at 8 a.m. and activities will commence promptly at 9 a.m. and last until around 12:30 p.m. We look forward to meeting the Class of 2018 at Flight School.  Registration for the big event is available online or by mail. Registration is due by Thursday, August 7.

Destination 2015

Garland ISD will be implementing a new program as part of the 2014 Summer School offerings on all high school campuses. Destination 2015 is a program for current 11th grade Garland ISD students who will begin their senior year in 2014-15. Classes will prepare students for college entrance exams and admissions. Topics that will be discussed include the common application, college essays, student resumes, reference request letters, choosing the right school, college majors, degree plans, SAT/ACT and financial aid information.

Seating is limited and will be based on first to register. The program will run June 16 – June 19. There will be two sessions Monday-Thursday 8 – 11 a.m. and 12 – 3 p.m. The program classes will be held at Rowlett High School. Transportation is provided for the regular summer school schedule. There is no cost for this program. Registration ended on June 6.
