2014-2015 School Year
We look forward to seeing all returning students for the first day of school on Monday, August 25. School hours at Rowlett High School are 7:22 a.m. until 2:30 p.m.
On the first day of school, students will locate their schedule advisory room by looking for their last name between the range of names for their grade level. Students will report to the cafeteria and gym Monday morning and will be released to the schedule advisory rooms when the first bell rings.

Attention Students: New Planner Policy
Rowlett High School will distribute official school planners to all students to be used during 2014-2015 school year. These planners will be used to note important dates, document tutorials, and keep track of service hours. Additionally, planners will serve as a hall pass for all students. During the first week of school, students will be provided one planner at no cost, as they will be required to use it throughout the year.
Underclassmen and Senior Portraits
Welcome back, Eagles. This is a reminder that school photographs are scheduled for September 3 and 4. Order forms will be distributed through science classes during the first week of school. Senior tux and gown photographs will be taken September 8 on campus. However, seniors are encouraged to schedule appointments with Prestige Studios prior to the on campus senior round-up, and before the final deadline on September 29. Dress code will be enforced. Yearbook Sales Blitz
The 2015 Talon yearbooks are now available for $60 until September 12. Students will have the opportunity to receive 4 free icons (a $14 value) if the Personalized Package is purchased. Orders can be made online through
jostensyearbooks.com. Payments can also be made with cash or check if paying directly through yearbook adviser Mrs. Kapadia. Orders forms can be mailed or delivered to the school to her attention. Any questions can be emailed to Mrs. Kapadia.
Seniors - Parking Spot Painting
Seniors will be painting parking spaces on the following dates and times:
- Saturday, August 23 from 7 a.m. until noon
- Sunday, August 24 from 1 - 5 p.m. (last day to paint)
Be sure to download and complete the required
parking spot painting form and get approval.
The approved paint can be purchased at Home Depot. In the binder at the paint desk, any employee can find the details regarding paint brand/type to sell and how to mix the maroon and navy colors. There are two can sizes, the gallon size for $19.97 each and the quart size for $8.97 each. Students must use this exact paint and colors.
