Art in the Computer Lab

Students in first through fifth grades are also provided time in the school computer lab to learn how to create digitally mastered art pieces.Using Painter Classic software, Painter Essentials software, Wacom drawing boards and Wacom stylus pens. Students create original art using media provided through the use of state-of-the-art technology.

Winston Science Competition Winners

We have the Cardboard Armor -1st Place goes to Caelen and Maxwell, 2nd Place goes to Nick Martinez and Bruno Leon. Congratulations!

For Duck Tape winners- 3rd place goes to Mikayla Baker-Sims, 2nd place Gariela and Yadira, and 1st place Jay John Hernandez. Congratulations!

Botanical Illustration winners- 3rd place goes to Andrea Garcia, 2nd place Ayzel Garcia and 1st Anushri. Congratulations!

For our Bugs winners- 3rd place goes to Jaycee Mckekey, 2nd place Isabella Smith and 1st place Sophea Butler. Congratulations!

For our On The Spot winners- Parker Ellis, Julian Fernandez and Richard Dao. Congratulations!

The Enchanting Ecosystems winner- 1st place goes to Kunal Sawhney. Congratulations!

Boats winner- 2nd Place Jacob Jones. Congratulations!

Winston Preliminaries 2014

Our students did an amazing job on their Winston science projects. We can't wait to see them representing us at Winston. For the students that went on please show your school spirit and wear your WGA shirt.

Fire Reel Film Festival

Congratulations to Grayson Baker and Uyen Tran for making it onto the front page of the 2014-15 Fire Reel Film Festival Flyer!Way to represent Walnut Glen Academy For Excellence.

This picture was taken last year during the Film Festival when we won the 2014 Excellence in Broadcasting Award!

This year the entry started October 1st and will continue in till December 31st this is where you can sign up for independent films.

Watch D.O.G.S

Walnut Glen Academy is excited to announce the beginning of the Watch D.O.G.S program (Dads of Great Students). Watch D.O.G.S. is an innovative father involvement, educational initiative of the National Center For Fathering.

Not only are students having the opportunity to work with top of the line math and reading programs to aid and enrich teaching in the classroom, but they are still encouraged and required in many circumstances to work with Microsoft Office...Computer
