2009 All Region Orchestra Results are in!

Congratulations to all our students.  We are so proud of our 23 Austin Academy orchestra students who were accepted into the All Region orchestra.  We also had 5 students chosen as alternates. 

There were over 250 entries trying for only 70 positions.  These students represent 16 schools from 4 school districts.  Their clinic/concert will be held at GHS Dec. 11-12th.  The concert will be held on Saturday Dec. 12 at 4:00 p.m.

Austin Academy can always use:

• donations of violins, violas, cellos, basses
• wire music stands
• used metronomes
• old sheet music for stringed instruments
• used method books for stringed instruments
• old t-shirts or cloth diapers (to be used for cleaning cloths)
  stickers, reward type items
• luggage tags
• donations of classical music recordings - cassette tapes, CDs
• Parent Volunteers to help with uniforms, t-shirts, data entry, concerts and parties
