UIL Competition Results

All three bands received unanimous First Division, "Superior" ratings in Concert & Sight-Reading performances.  This is referred to as the "Sweepstakes" Trophy.

Concerto Competition Results

The 1st Annual Concerto Competition was held at RHS on Thursday, March 11, 2010.  Congratulations to the following winners!

TMEA Results

Six fine musicians from Rowlett High School traveled to San Antonio in February to perform at the Texas Music Educators Association convention as members of the Texas All-State Band and Orchestra.  The results of the students' auditions and band placements were as follows:

Texas All-State Band Results

Congratulations to the 24 RHS band members who competed in the TMEA All-Area band auditions held on Saturday, January 9, 2010, in Tyler, Texas. Based on their auditions, the following six students were chosen to the Texas All-State Band.

This is the second time that Heather Gregory, T. J. Gilray and David Mitchell have been chosen for the All-State band. These fine musicians will now travel to San Antonio in February to perform at the Texas Music Educators Associatiobn convention as members of the Texas All-State Band and Orchestra.

The Mighty Eagle Band captured the following awards on Saturday, October 10, at the Little Elm Marching Classic:

Mesquite Marching Contest

The Mighty Eagle Band earned several awards at the Mesquite Marching Contest on October 3.  The awards include

NTCA Solo and Ensemble Competition
February 28, 2009 

Congratulations to winterguard officers Meagan Beard and Katie Warnick for both making first place in their divisions at the NTCA Solo and Ensemble Competition held at Arlington High School on Saturday, February 28th. The RHS winterguard competed that evening and came home with 3rd place! Way to go guard!!

UIL Regional Competition at Mesquite Memorial
October 15, 2008

The Mighty Eagle Band received a Division 1 Rating in Class 5A and advanced to the Area Competition. 

Marching Classic on the Lake
October 11, 2008

The Mighty Eagle Band competed in the Marching Classic on the Lake, hosted by the Little Elm High School Band, on Saturday, October 11, 2008.  The band earned the following awards at the competition.
