The main goal of the Bussey library is to help students develop a life-long love of reading for pleasure as well as educational purposes.

Bussey's library/media center strives to support the school's curriculum as well as provide a collection of interesting and entertaining books for students and faculty. The library offers reference, nonfiction, including biographies, and fiction books in its collection. Many of the books have Accelerated Reader tests available.

Hours
Monday through Friday
8:40 a.m. - 4:10 p.m.

Passes
Students may visit the library immediately before and after school without a gold pass. During the school day, they must have a pass to the library from a teacher.

Check Out
Students may check out a maximum of 3 books at a time. Books are checked out for 2 weeks and may be rechecked if necessary. The date the book is to be returned will be the most recent date stamped on the date due card. This card should be kept in the book pocket.

Magazines
Magazines are now available for checkout. You may check these out for 3 days. Overdue magazines are $1.00. Lost magazines are $10.00.

Fines
A fine of $1.00 per book will be charged for overdue materials. Fines will also be charged for damaged or lost materials. Periodically, fine lists will be generated and given to teachers. They in turn, will notify students. Students with fines or overdues may not check out again until they are clear.

Printing Costs
Black and white copies from the printer are 10 cents per page. Color copies are 25 cents per page.

Library Resources
Scanners, a digital camera and research computers are available for use in the library. Usernames and passwords to access online databases can be obtained from the school librarian.
