Home of the Eagles
A Great 2013-2014 year
We want to thank everyone for a great school year. This year has been filled with ups and downs but everyone, students, teachers, and parents, helped to make this year a memorable one. Thank you.
We hope that your summer is filled is fun, travel, and family. Wherever your adventures take you, please do so safely. We want everyone ready to start learning on the first day of school.
We will have Jordan Sonnenblick joining us again in the fall. Our sixth grade should read "Drums, Girls, and Dangerous Pie" over the summer. Seventh Grade has been assigned "Curveball" and eighth grade should read "Notes fromt eh Midnight Driver". Take some time this summer to read a few of his other books too. GISD has also published a suggested reading list for students. Be sure to take advantage of summer reading programs at the local libraries.
Have a good summer and we look forward to seeing you again on Aug 25.
Summer School Opportunities
Garland ISD offers summer school programs designed to serve the educational needs of a variety of students. Some are "traditional" summer school classes, some are special programs, and others are presented in a "day camp" format.
