At Webb, we resolve to make a difference in the lives of our students and staff every day. By being leaders and not followers, recognizing the importance of reading, taking pride in ourselves and our school, we're constantly working to be the best Bears we can be. Cold and flu season is upon us. No one likes feeling under the weather, not to mention the strain of having to miss school or work. So be proactive, and check out these 7 tips on what you can do to stay healthy this winter season.
Resolve to... Get Healthy
Sometimes the hardest part of getting healthy is knowing how. We asked some of our coaches for tips on becoming healthy for a little guidance in getting started.
How do you stay healthy?
"By making healthy decisions in my every day life." --Coach Pike
"A balanced diet full of vegetables and lean proteins is a great start as well as exercising for at least 60 minutes a day." --Coach Flick
What are some tips for kids who want to become more healthy?
"Develop healthy eating habits and find a physical activity that you enjoy doing." --Coach Pike
"Drink more water. No more sodas or energy drinks. More consistent, smaller, healthy and balanced meals will help keep your metabolism high and burn more calories." --Coach Flick
What are some of your favorite healthy foods?
"I enjoy all types of fruits and vegetables. Fish is another one of my favorites." --Coach Pike
"I like chicken, eggs, turkey, and a little red meat for proteins. I like brussel sprouts, spinach, bell peppers, squash, carrots, bananas, apples...anything fresh and delicious." --Coach Flick
What are some of your favorite exercise activities?
"Any type of sport including biking." --Coach Pike

Resolve to... Give
We would like to thank everyone who contributed to our food drive! Our students and teachers raised 168 cans of food! All goods will be given to the Salvation Army and local food pantries. At Webb we try to encourage giving back to our community. Good job Bears!

Strategic Plan Focus Group Registration
Parent, community, student and staff focus groups are currently being formed. Indicate your interest in participaing in this phase of the Strategic Plan process by completing the registration form below.
