The 2009 Texas Bluebonnet Award was presented to Author Cynthia DeFelice and Illustrator Andrea U'Ren for their book One Potato, Two Potato.

The votes were counted. Our librarian, Mrs. Claver, announced on Friday morning (Oct. 9th) that Michael A. had named our trustworthy library giraffe SPIKE.
Michael is going to visit Spike, his friend with the courage to tell the whole truth, as often as he can. Look for Spike in the Library every day!

GREAT JOB - October 16th Grade Level Winners!

Every week, a class is selected for the Shelf Elf Award. Winners receive the Golden Shelf Elf Trophy in their classroom as a reward for having excellent library behavior and manners. Winning classes are announced during the Friday morning announcements.
