Arts

Welcome to Music!

My name is Danielle Wright and I am thrilled to teach music at Routh Roach. I have been at Routh Roach for five years and I love teaching our kindergarten students all the way to fifth grade so that they can grow in musicality, social skills, and expression.

At Routh Roach, we also have the Honor Choir, which is a group of 4-5th graders that get to learn music to sing as a group at different events around the city and at our school. Our school choir has performed at the annual Garland Christmas on the Square, the Pride of Texas Festival, and the choir contest at Hawaiian Falls and have received superior ratings.

My goal for our music program is to provide an outlet for every student to create, be expressive, and to be able to have the tools to be music literate before they go to middle school. In our classes we sing, dance, play instruments and create music. It is a joy to teach here and I cannot wait to see what this year has in store!
