Technology Distribution Plan

Hello All Star Families!

I want to share important information about the district’s technology device pickup for those who completed the technology survey and indicated a need for a device. If you already have a device for your children at home, please disregard this message.

Chromebook distribution will begin on Monday, March 23rd, only for students whose parents completed the technology survey by 3:00 p.m. on Thursday, March 19th, and requested a device for their children. We will be distributing Chromebooks from the Abbett drive-through lanes in the front of the building. Since gatherings of more than ten people are not allowed, we have scheduled pick up times by last name, as follows:
• 1:00-2:00 p.m. Last names starting with A-L
• 2:00-3:00 p.m. Last names starting with M-Z

Parents must remain in their vehicles to ensure safety for our staff and your families. We are unable to distribute devices to people who walk. Safety is our utmost concern, so the process may seem a little cold. When parents pull up to the staff member, you will state your child’s name. The staff member will hand off the device with instructions inside the Chromebook. There is to be no discussion, but there can certainly be smiles and waves! We apologize for this process, but the district’s goal is to keep everyone safe. Please do not pick up a device if you have fever or are showing any symptoms. You will have another opportunity in the near future.

For parents who completed the survey after 3:00 p.m. on Thursday, March 19th, or who haven’t yet completed the survey, another pick up time will be scheduled. Please continue to check Class Dojo and our website for details.
