We have an award winning and nationally recognized PTA here at Abbett! These distinctions and accolades are earned due to our partnerships with staff, families, and community members! We have earned the Golden Apple Award the last 3 years and aim to do that again this year! The Golden Apple is achieved when 100% of staff join PTA as members. We work hard to support our staff throughout the year including providing food and drinks during conferences, teacher appreciation week and more. We typically award about $4,000 per year in Hope Grants to staff. Hope Grants may be used to fund classroom, club, or special needs that are not covered by state/district funding. We also fund community outreach and campus beautification needs during the course of the year. PTA helps support the Abbett Garden and Outdoor Classroom.
We host 6-8 Family Program Nights throughout the year for our students and parents. These are typically FREE to anyone with a single PTA membership in their household. PTA also offers Angel Memberships if a student or staff member does not have funds to purchase a membership - as we don't want anyone to be excluded from the privileges a membership provides due to financial constraints.
We look forward to partnering with each of you this year as we strive to provide advocacy, enrichment, and a high level of engagement with our Abbett families.
