This magnet program offers advanced academic coursework called "Enriched Honors" in English, math, reading, social studies, and science to meet the needs of our academically qualified students.

AVID

Austin Academy is thrilled to be an Advancement Via Individual Determination (AVID) certified school. This elective program is available to selected students that are interested in advancing academically beyond high school. Applications for this program are available. Students must go through an interview process and meet certain requirements.

Career and Technology classes

We are proud to add additional classes to our CTE program. eighth grade students have opportunity to earn 0.5 credit classes towards high school.

International Baccalaureate 

The International Baccalaureate Middle Years Programme is for all Austin Academy students in grades 7 and 8, and Fall 2021 for grade 6.

National Junior Honor Society (NJHS)

The Austin Academy for Excellence chapter is an association for students that promotes leadership, develops character, and encourages good citizenship at school.

Pentathlon

Austin Academy is home to a nationally ranked Pentathlon program.  Students nominated by teachers compete at district, regional, and national levels.
