Mr. Aeschbacher is entering his 11th year in public education and his 4th year in Garland ISD. Mr. A is a proud product of Garland ISD where he attended Heather Glen Elementary, O’Banion Middle School, and Garland High School. He graduated from GHS with a performing arts endorsement, and went on to attend Baylor University to study Music Education with a minor in Spanish. Mr. Aeschbacher also went on to receive a Masters degree from the University of Texas at Arlington in Educational Leadership and Policy Studies.
Mr. A’s teaching career began in Richardson ISD where he was a music teacher, 5th grade science and social studies teacher as well as an instructional coach. After a brief stint outside of education, Mr. Aeschbacher returned to education at Stephens Elementary in GISD as a self-contained 2nd grade teacher before becoming an Administrative Intern at Southgate Stem Elementary while it was a School Action Fund campus. Mr. A is currently serving at Austin Academy for Excellence (an International Baccalaureate Middle Year Programme school) where he oversees various roles and responsibilities.
Mr. A has been recognized and received awards from the State of Texas as the Elementary Teacher of the Year for Texas PTA, HEB Rising Star Finalist, and by the Greater East Dallas Chamber of Commerce Elementary Teacher of the Year. Mr. Aeschbacher is married to his wife, Christine. He has two children who attend and will be attending Garland schools. The goal for Mr. Aeschbacher is to continue the high levels of academic excellence in all areas at Austin Academy for years to come. Mr. A’s enjoys traveling (to Disney), learning new languages (currently learning ASL), and working out at the gym.
