History

Back Elementary, established in 1985, was named after James McGoffin Back born June 15, 1869. He was the patriarch of one of the fine pioneer families of the Garland area.  The land for Back Elementary was donated to Garland ISD by his son.

Spirit dress days

Throughout the school year, we have designated Spirit Dress days.

• Monday is spirit day. Student who joined PTA can wear jeans with any Back Bulldogs shirt, Mondays only.
• Tuesday is standardized dress. Khaki or navy blue pants, red, white, or navy blue polo.
• Wednesdays is College shirt day. Students may wear college shirts only with jeans on Wednesday only. 
• Thursday is standardized dress. Khaki or navy blue pants, red, white, or navy blue polo.
• Friday is FREE dress for all students.
• If a student decides not to participate in Spirit Dress days, standardized dress is expected.
