Arts

Back Elementary believes that art and music in the student's curriculum is important for critical thinking, enhanced problem-solving, good judgment, and teaching them that there is more than one way to tackle a project.  It promotes kindness and acceptance of diversity when the same art piece comes out differently for everyone or music means different things to different people.  The arts are a strong motivator in keeping students interested in school.

Mrs. Nelson, the music teacher, helps students explore new musical ideas through singing, movement, game play, and playing multiple instruments.  Use what talents you possess. The woods would be silent if no birds sang except those who sang best.
