Math, Science, Technology Magnet
Beaver Technology Center is a K-5 magnet school with an emphasis on math, science, and technology. All subjects are taught with a heavy emphasis on classroom use of technology and hands-on problem solving. Students enjoy enriched learning opportunities such as planting in the greenhouse, forecasting the weather via the weather station, and studying the stars in the portable planetarium.
More information is available on the Math, Science, Technology magnet page.
During most Fridays, students enjoy participating in an elective course for enrichment learning. STEAMschool takes place during two six-week cycles. Students choose their top three choices from a catalog of courses and are placed in one elective. STEAMschool courses cover a wide array of topics that fall under the topics of science, technology, engineering, art, and math. Some of our courses include planting in the greenhouse, Lego robotics, Minecraft, banking and financial literacy, Zumba, World Cultures, VEX robotics, and so much more.
Cycle One of STEAMschool takes place on September 20, 27, October 4, 11, 18, 25, and November 1, 15, 22.
