Sensory pathways

Over the summer, Beaver teachers worked together to create two sensory pathways. One pathway is in the Kindergarten/1st grade hallway and the other is in the 2nd grade/Special Education hallway. Sensory pathways allow students to self-regulate their emotions and behavior. Students can take a small break from the classroom to hop, jump, and crawl down the hallway. Sensory pathways provide time away from the stimulation of a busy classroom to release energy and promote balance and body awareness. Thank you to Ms. Casco, Ms. Smith, Ms. McDorman, Ms. Parra, and Ms. Alrid for making it happen!
