Welcome Bradfield Cowboys to the 2026-2027 School Year!
Dear Bradfield Families,
As we prepare for another exciting school year, I want to take a moment to thank you for your continued support, encouragement, and partnership over the past two years. Serving as the principal of Bradfield Elementary has been an incredible privilege, and I am truly grateful for the trust you place in our school each day. Together, we have celebrated many successes, and I look forward to building on that momentum as we begin another amazing year.
This past year was filled with growth, celebration, and community. From launching new instructional practices to building strong classroom connections, we made tremendous strides. I’m especially proud of our staff's dedication to meeting every child where they are and helping them reach their fullest potential through small group instruction and targeted support. Every student matters, and every child can grow—and we are committed to making that happen every single day.
This year marks my 20th year in education and my 16th year proudly serving in Garland ISD. I live in Garland with my husband, Mike, and our two children—Hannah (6) and Will (4). As both an educator and a parent in this community, I am deeply dedicated to the success of our schools and families. Garland is home, and I consider it a privilege to give back to the community that has given me so much.
This year, we are excited to embrace our theme, "Bradfield Team: We're All in This Together." This theme reflects what makes our school so special—students, families, staff, and our community working together to help every child succeed. Parents and caregivers are an essential part of our team, and your support, encouragement, and partnership make a lasting difference in your child's education. When we work together, we create the best opportunities for our students to learn, grow, and thrive. We are excited to continue building strong relationships, celebrating every success, and ensuring that each child receives the support they need to reach their fullest potential.
Mr. Formaggini and I are honored to return as your administrative team and are committed to providing a safe, nurturing, and academically rich environment for all students. We also look forward to growing our PTA and strengthening the school-home connection. Your support truly enhances every aspect of our school, and we can’t wait to partner with you even more this year. Here’s to another year of learning, growing, and Cowboy pride. Go Cowboys!
With gratitude,
Patricia Kehoe

Dear Bradfield Families,
Welcome to another exciting school year at Bradfield Elementary! I am incredibly honored and excited to begin this year serving our school community in a new role as Assistant Principal. Having already been a part of the Bradfield family, I have had the privilege of getting to know so many of our amazing students, families, and staff, and I am grateful for the opportunity to continue serving this incredible community in a new capacity.
My journey into education began in North Carolina, where I earned my bachelor's degree in Elementary Education before completing my master's degree in Educational Leadership with a focus in Urban Education. Through Teach For America, I was given the opportunity to move to Dallas. That decision has shaped both my career and my life in countless meaningful ways.
Throughout my career, I have been fortunate to serve in several roles, including substitute teacher, classroom teacher in grades 3rd, 4th, 5th, and 6th, Demonstration Teacher, Instructional Coach, Instructional Support Teacher, and Instructional Design Facilitator. Each experience has strengthened my commitment to supporting students, empowering teachers, and helping schools create meaningful learning experiences where every child can succeed.
This year, our school theme, "Bradfield Team: We're All in This Together," is a wonderful reminder that the success of our students is a shared effort. Every day, I am reminded that students are our why. My commitment is to do everything I can to ensure every student is successful, safe, and supported. I am grateful for the strong partnerships we already share with our families and community, and I look forward to continuing to work alongside you to make this another outstanding year for our Cowboys.
Outside of school, I enjoy traveling home to visit my family in Georgia and North Carolina, exploring new restaurants around Dallas, shopping, and taking walks or going for runs by the lake!
I am excited for all that this school year has in store and look forward to celebrating our students' successes together. Here's to another fantastic year of learning, growth, and Cowboy pride!
Warmly,
Jordan “JD” Darrisaw
