Choir is open to students in 4th and 5th grade. Students go to choir practice during their PLC time (8:15-9:00 a.m.) on Thursdays or Fridays. There is a fee of $15 for the fall and $15 for the spring. This fee provides the students with a choir t-shirt and the ability to go on a field trip in the spring. There will be some evening performances for choir students to attend.
Students in grades 3rd-5th meet with Mrs. Krecklow during recess on Fridays to create art and work on projects like Big Art Day.
Students in grades 3rd-5th meet with Mrs. Ray to discuss a novel on Wednesdays during their lunches. There is also an after-school book club for students in 1st and second grades.
Students in 5th grade serve on our leadership club. The students help plan events for our school, do safety patrol outside, and do service projects for our community like collecting cans.
4th and 5th grade students lead our morning announcements live on camera for the whole school to view. The students are getting real world experience of what working in a new station would be like if they choose to pursue that career in the future.
Students in 5th grade are involved in the Tynker coding club on Fridays. These coding sessions provide the students with skills that can translate into their future careers.
