Monthly library contest

Each month there is a library contest that students and teachers can enter. The contest involves looking up an article in the online version of Encyclopedia Britannica. Everyone who make a 100% will win a free paperback book.

Makerspaces will take place in the library two Wednesday mornings each month before school. The activities will vary each time. Sometimes there will be a craft (origami, making bookmarks, making snowflakes, making something using duct tape, etc.) or competition (tallest structure with gumdrops and toothpicks). Other times students can build and create with Legos, MagnaTiles, K’Nex or Spirographs. We also have Ozobots, LittleBits and board games.  Anyone who wants to participate is welcome.
