Mission

The mission of the Brandenburg Library is to inspire and support our students and staff as they read, learn, create, collaborate & discover.

Vision

The Brandenburg library strives to be a leader of literacy, information & discovery on campus. We will provide relevant resources & digital tools, innovative programming, and instructional partnerships to meet the diverse needs of out students & staff and support the development of lifelong learners.

Visiting the Library

The library is open to all Brandenburg Braves!

We open early on Wednesday and Thursday mornings (8:15-8:45 AM) for quiet reading and working on school work. No pass required!

In addition to visiting the library with their classes, students may ask their teacher for a pass to visit during the school day.

Library Hours: 

Open daily from 8:45 AM to 4:10 PM.

Library policies

Books checkout 

  • All Brandenburg students may check out 4 books at a time.

  • Books are due every three weeks and may be renewed as many times as desired, as long as no other students have the book on hold.

  • Overdue notices are automatically sent out via email once a book is one week overdue.

  • There are no late fees, only fines for books that are lost or badly damaged.

Brandenburg Braves have access to a collection of over 14,000 books, e-books & digital resources for our students & staff to access. Library materials under consideration

The Garland Library Services department follows state law and is committed to maintaining an open and transparent ordering process for library materials. See the link below to review library materials that are currently under consideration for purchase. The lists will be available for public review for at least 30 days before final board approval.

Online instructional resources

Online Instructional Resources are available to all students, teachers, parents, and administrators from any district or non-district computer.
