The Heart of Brandenburg Braves: How PTA Volunteers Make Our School Something Special
Brandenburg Middle School is proud to hold an A rating — and behind that achievement is a community that refuses to settle for ordinary. Our PTA volunteers are the reason our students don't just attend school. They experience it.
Walk the halls of Brandenburg on any given day and you're likely to feel something that can't quite be graded: a sense of belonging, excitement, and pride. That feeling doesn't happen by accident. It's built, event by event and volunteer by volunteer, by the dedicated members of the Brandenburg Braves PTA. This campus couldn't be what it is without their tireless, generous efforts.
Moments Students Will Always Remember
From BraveFest, an outdoor celebration with food and fun, to the Homecoming Dance, the 8th Grade Formal, and a recent Scholastic Book Fair, the PTA creates milestones that students look forward to all year and remember long after graduation. They also keep the Braves spirit alive day-to-day with programs like the 6th grade reading incentives and an ice cream social for 7th graders.
A Community That Shows Up
Many volunteers at Brandenburg Braves events don't even have a child enrolled at the school; they simply believe in this community. Volunteer Sara Worley sums it up beautifully: "I've seen firsthand how supporting teachers also supports students. I love serving on campus. I always feel welcome and appreciated. Volunteering fills my cup."
