Ms. Battles has been in education for 21 years. During her first 12 years, she was a 6th grade English teacher, and for the past 9 years, she has been a school counselor at Brandenburg Middle School.
She holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Speech Communication from Baylor University and a Master of Education degree in School Counseling from Lamar University.
Ms. Battles enjoys spending time with family and friends, playing tennis and pickleball, cooking, reading, and spending time in nature. As a former flight attendant, she also enjoys traveling and exploring new places. She has a passion for supporting students academically and socially, and is blessed to be a counselor at Brandenburg.
