Principal Brian Trichell

Greetings and salutations Bullock families. My name is Brian Trichell and it is with great pride and pleasure that I am continuing the role of principal of Bullock Elementary School. I am starting my 25th year in education, and truly believe that this is where I am supposed to be. Bullock is a fabulous school with a rich tradition thanks to all of the families who have entrusted their children’s educational needs to Bullock. We take great pride in the work that we do here on a daily basis and hope to build lasting relationships that will help propel your children and our students to college and career readiness.

Prior to Bullock, I served as assistant principal at Walnut Glen Academy for Excellence. I was the AP at Walnut Glen for 4 years. Prior to that, I was a classroom teacher in both Garland and Dallas ISD for 15 years. I taught P.E., 2nd grade, 3rd grade and 5th grade before becoming an assistant principal.

I am married to a wonderful woman and have two beautiful children. My son Alexander is 11 years old and my daughter Chloe is 7. I enjoy traveling, being a dad and spending time with my wife and kids. Having elementary age children helps keep things in perspective for me from the aspect of a parent. I do not take this responsibility for granted and will always look to do what is best for kids. I welcome the opportunity to work with you and to continue building on the greatness of the school community as a whole. Bullock Bears do it Best.

Hello Bears!

I’m honored to serve as the Assistant Principal of Guy H. Bullock Elementary. I’m truly excited for the upcoming school year and the opportunity to partner with our amazing parents, dedicated teachers, and supportive staff to help our students reach their fullest potential.

With over 20 years in education, I’ve found great joy in working with children—sparking their curiosity, unlocking their potential, and helping them grow into lifelong learners and responsible citizens… all while having fun along the way!

I hold a bachelor's degree in civil engineering from the Universidad Autónoma de Chihuahua, a Master's of Science in Civil Engineering from the University of Texas at El Paso, and a master's in educational administration from Texas A&M University in College Station.

I firmly believe that strong relationships between school and family can significantly enrich a child’s educational journey and overall development.

Together, we will inspire, equip, and empower every student for lifelong success.

Go Bears!
