Dear Bullock Elementary Staff and Families,

It is with great excitement that I introduce myself as the new principal of Bullock Elementary for the 2026–2027 school year. I am honored to join a school community with such a rich history of supporting students, families, and staff, and I feel fortunate to have the opportunity to serve and partner with you.

This will be my 18th year in education, all within Garland ISD. I began my career at Garland High School as an English teacher and coach, and I continued serving the school as Department Chair, Testing Coordinator, and Title I Facilitator. For the past nine years, I have served as an Assistant Principal at the Garland Alternative Education Center, where I helped build systems that support safety, respect, and good citizenship. These experiences have shaped my belief that relationships, systems, and high-quality instruction work together to create the foundation for student success.

At Bullock Elementary, we will focus on building strong relationships, protecting instructional time, and creating meaningful learning experiences for students. I believe every child has unique strengths, and our work is to help students build the confidence and character they need for future success. Educating children is a team effort, and it takes the entire school community working together to build a strong foundation for success. I look forward to learning more about the Bullock Elementary way and the traditions that make this school special.

My wife, Keely, and I are proud parents of two boys, and family is one of the great joys of my life. As both an educator and a parent, I understand how much trust families place in a school. I am committed to honoring that trust by keeping students at the center of our decisions and working alongside our staff and families to create a positive and successful school year.

Hello Bears!

I’m honored to serve as the Assistant Principal of Guy H. Bullock Elementary. I’m truly excited for the upcoming school year and the opportunity to partner with our amazing parents, dedicated teachers, and supportive staff to help our students reach their fullest potential.

With over 20 years in education, I’ve found great joy in working with children—sparking their curiosity, unlocking their potential, and helping them grow into lifelong learners and responsible citizens… all while having fun along the way!

I hold a bachelor's degree in civil engineering from the Universidad Autónoma de Chihuahua, a Master's of Science in Civil Engineering from the University of Texas at El Paso, and a master's in educational administration from Texas A&M University in College Station.

I firmly believe that strong relationships between school and family can significantly enrich a child’s educational journey and overall development.

Together, we will inspire, equip, and empower every student for lifelong success.
