School History
Guy H. Bullock Elementary School was built in 1962 and opened its doors to our children in November of that year. Mr. Garland Bridges served as principal of Bullock from that time until June, 1977. Mr. Weldon Bowden served as principal until his retirement in 1993. The position was then held by Mrs. Kay Redd from 1993-1994. Miss Virginia Johnson was her successor and served from 1994 to 1996. Then Mrs. Chris Brunner served from 1996 to 2001. Ms. Linda Sires served as principal beginning in 2001 until 2010. Ms. Beatris Martinez served as principal from 2010 until 2015. Dr. Shannon Trimble served as principal from 2015 until 2017. Mr. Brian Trichell is our current principal.
Bullock was remodeled inside and out during the summer of 1997 and again in 2009 when the third wing, new library, and science lab were added. Our special programs include full-day Kindergarten, Bilingual and ESL classes for grades Prekindergarten through 5th, and two Learning in a Functional Environment classes for special education students who are not able to succeed in the general education classes full time.
