Arts are an important part of educating the whole child. At Bullock Elementary, we believe in providing opportunities for students to utilize their creativity and talents in the performing and visual arts. All students participate in our elementary music program; which includes theater art activities, as well.

Amy Austin - Music Teacher
The music curriculum at Bullock is largely based on the teachings and philosophy of Zoltan Kodaly. The Kodaly method is a highly sequential and a method which uses the voice as its main instrument. The goal of the Hungarian based method is to promote musical literacy through the performance of folk tunes.
Each child at Bullock has one music lesson per week. Each lesson is filled with skills such as singing, playing instruments, music games, folk dancing, reading, writing and creating music. The main goal of the music program at Bullock is to cultivate a musically literate child who can go on to enjoy music through out his/her lifetime.
