Cultural Heritage Night

October is National Hispanic Heritage Month in the United States, and every year Bussey Middle School's Spanish teacher, Ana Mewa, hosts an amazing affair in celebration of it and all the other cultures around the world.

The night consists of a collaboration of performances by local artists, mariachi bands, flamenco dancers, and Bussey Middle School's own fine arts programs. Our wonderful parent volunteers help organize the occasion, and Mrs. Mewa's AP Spanish 4 class helps decorate, greet, and serve food to the performers and the community.

It is one of the best events held at Bussey Middle School every year and we are proud of Mrs. Mewa and our Spanish students for putting on such a successful occasion!

Junior Achievement of Dallas BizTown

Parents of 6th grade students are invited to help on September 24th - 27th. Different classes will go on different days, and each child will have the opportunity to attend once. This program encourages students to use critical thinking skills to learn about economic concepts as they explore and enhance their understanding of free enterprise. Please contact Ms. Sitrin Brown-Pearn for more information.

Donate dress code clothing

We are in need of dress code clothing. Please donate gently used dress code pants and polo shirts to Bussey Middle School. We want all of our students to be in class at all times. This allows students what were unable to come to school in dress code to change and return to class quickly. Please make sure all of the clothes are washed and ready to wear.
