Administration
Principal Victoria Garza
Hello Caldwell Family,
It is truly an honor to be a part of the amazing Caldwell learning team and family! One of my core beliefs is that together, as a team, we each contribute and collaborate toward the success of all students. Our school is committed to providing engaging learning experiences that inspire and challenge every learner. Together, we will ensure that all students have opportunities to grow, learn, and reach their full potential.
During my 20 years of service in Garland ISD, I have had the privilege of working with outstanding students, parents, and dedicated teachers. Throughout this time, I have served as Principal, the Early College and P-Tech Principal, Assistant Principal, and Classroom Teacher. I earned a Bachelor's degree in Secondary Education in English Language Arts from Sul Ross State University and a Master's in Educational Leadership from Texas A&M University-Commerce.
Our mission and goal are to foster a unified vision that prepares all students for their educational journey. We eagerly anticipate continuing our partnership with parents and community members to serve and grow together in the education of GISD students. Together, we will achieve excellence!
It is my pleasure and privilege to serve as your Principal at Caldwell Elementary.
Believe to Achieve,
Victoria Garza
Assistant Principal Teranee Berry
Hello everyone,
My name is Teranee Berry, and I am delighted to introduce myself as the new Assistant Principal at Caldwell. With 15 years of experience in education, including the last 9 years with Garland ISD, I have
served in various roles such as First Grade Teacher, Third Grade Teacher, Pre-K Teacher, Response to Intervention Specialist, and Math Support Teacher.
Originally from Fort Wayne, Indiana, I spent my childhood in Tampa Bay and Garland. I attended Sellers Middle School and Garland High School before returning to my hometown to graduate and pursue higher education. I hold an Associate's degree in Early Childhood and a Bachelor's in Elementary Education from Indiana University. Additionally, I earned a Master's degree in Educational Leadership from the University of North Texas.
As a proud mother of three wonderful children, our family exemplifies resilience and love, staying active with band and sports activities. Beyond my professional life, I find joy and inspiration in the
word of God, music, books, dancing, and decorating. These interests keep me balanced and energized, allowing me to bring my best self to my work daily.
Education is not just my career; it is my ministry. I firmly believe in the transformative power of education and am dedicated to fostering an environment where every student can thrive. I am incredibly excited to join the Caldwell family and look forward to working together to support our students' success.
Thank you for welcoming me into your community. Let's make this year a great one!
