Celebrating Hispanic Heritage
On Monday, October 3 at 6:00 p.m. in the Caldwell cafeteria, we will be celebrating Hispanic Heritage month with a cultural night. We will have a high school mariachi band playing and a World Dance team performing. Caldwell students will be singing and reading poems. Caldwell student art will be on display. It will be a fabulous celebration of fine arts and Hispanic culture.
Cardinal fine arts
Students in all grades at Caldwell Elementary learn about art and music through a comprehensive arts and music integrated curriculum that involves higher order thinking skills.
There are many opportunities for our students to be enriched by the arts. Art learning is a way to improve motivation, concentration, confidence, and teamwork within our school. If you should have any suggestions or questions, we are always available to you.
At home art fun
Just because the school day ends, that doesn't mean that the fun has to end! Get creative!
Try some of these ideas:
- Decorate your neighborhood with sidewalk chalk
- Recycle boxes and other materials into a sculpture
- Empty the broken crayons out of your backpack and melt them into oversized crayons (talk to mom and dad about this)
- Paint a rock
- Pick flowers and press them with wax paper and books.
- Go on a picnic and draw what you see.
- Pick flowers and make a crown.
