Mrs. Bailey is thrilled to be serving the students, faculty, and families of G.W. Carver Elementary. She comes to Carver with 23 years’ experience in education, 21 of those years with Garland ISD.

Mrs. Bailey received her Bachelor’s in Interdisciplinary Studies from Texas Woman’s University and was excited to receive her first teaching position in the Eagle Mountain/Saginaw ISD, where she worked for 2 years before moving to the Garland area.  She started her career in GISD teaching 4th graders at Rowlett Elementary for 11 years.  From there, she moved into an Instructional Coaching role for 3 years, where she helped service both students and teachers at many campuses in GISD including; Rowlett Elementary, Liberty Grove Elementary, Cooper Elementary, and Southgate Elementary.

Ultimately, Mrs. Bailey realized that she could make a bigger impact on students and teacher growth by moving into an administration role.  After obtaining her Master’s in Education Administration, from Texas Woman’s University, she has had the pleasure of serving as the Assistant Principal of Couch Elementary, Stephens Elementary, and now G.W. Carver!  Her door is always open and she welcomes parents and the community to contact her with any concerns they might have.  Working together will help empower our little Tigers into becoming positive, productive, responsible citizens in this every changing world.
