Literacy for life
Literacy for Life is a district initiative and community-wide partnership designed to foster the literacy needs of students. Along with the tri-cities of Garland, Rowlett and Sachse, we are working to create a community of readers.
Maker space
In the Carver library, students are encouraged to READ as well as to create, build, invent, make, explore, and discover. Using a range of materials & devices, our students are showcasing their creativity and STEAM skills.
eBooks
Did you know that your child (& you) have access to thousands of books for free through myON? This incredible online resource launched at the end of last school year. Community access and student login details can be found on the myON instructional resource page. Reach out to Ms. Pilkington, our campus librarian, for more information.

Research tips
- Looking for a fun, reliable resource for your child to use for research? Check out our district's FREE digital resources.
- Contact the librarian or your child's teacher for login information.
- Remember to narrow your search by selecting precise words. Avoid common words (a, and, of, the) and use quotation marks around specific phrases.
Overdue books & fines
There are no fines for overdue books. Please remind your child to keep their books safe & return them each week.
Library catalogs
Find books, ebooks, and other resources by visiting your school's library catalog. If you need help with any of these resources, please contact your school librarian.
Online instructional resources
Online Instructional Resources are available to all students, teachers, parents, and administrators from any district or non-district computer.
