Administration

Cisneros Prinicpal

Principal

Andy Kiser

Hello and welcome to Cisneros!  I’m a Garland kid, born and raised. I attended  Routh Roach Elementary, O’Banion Middle School, and South Garland High School.  I studied biochemistry at Texas A&M University in College Station (unusual for a Pre-K principal, right?).  I received my master’s in Education Administration from Texas A&M University-Commerce.  My teaching career started in Oak Cliff for a few years, taught in Mesquite for four years, and then taught Math and Science at Toler Elementary in Garland.  I’ve been a school administrator since 2006.  I have been at Cisneros since 2017.

My wife and daughter are also products of Garland ISD.  My daughter recently graduated from Texas A&M (I’ll talk Aggie football and A&M with you all day!)  I have a ton of pride in Garland ISD and firmly believe in the power of education.  I absolutely know that Cisneros is the right place for your child!

Our school motto is “Where Little People Do Big Things.”  I want your child’s time at Cisneros to be fun, exciting, and puts them on a path to a great future.  If you have any questions or concerns, please feel free to reach out to me or one of my staff members.  Garland ISD and Cisneros PreK… it’s where their future begins!

Veronica Clack

Hello! ¡Hola! Whether you prefer to call me Ms. Moreno or Ms. Clack, rest assured I am used to two languages and two cultures being a big part of my identity! My parents are originally from Guanajuato Mexico, but I grew up just down the street and attended Daugherty Elementary back when it was still a very old one-story building!

My first and earliest experience in education was as a caregiver in a private preschool program for 3- and 4-year old's while at Garland High School through a vocational program. I worked in several different industries after high school on my long and non-traditional journey through college, but my heart led me back to work in education, and I am so glad I listened because it is the most rewarding work! I earned my bachelor’s at UTD, my master’s in psychology from NCU, and am now working on a doctorate in educational leadership at UNT. I first became a bilingual teacher in Dallas ISD, and eventually found myself back in Garland, first at Dorsey, then at Bullock Elementary. For the past four years I served as a bilingual ESL program consultant at the Region 10 ESC. I am forever thankful for the support of my many teachers and greatest mentors, my family, and for the work ethic they all instilled in me.

As for my family, I have a son who is technically an adult, but still working on adulting, my only daughter, who is the very responsible but still teenage middle child, my youngest son, the nine-year-old baby of the family, two step-cats, and one husband helping me hold it all together!

I love learning and Garland ISD is the district that first instilled that in me. I am so overjoyed to be back now as your assistant principal here at Cisneros.
