Administration
Andy Kiser Principal
Hello and welcome to Cisneros! I’m a Garland kid, born and raised. I attended Routh Roach Elementary, O’Banion Middle School, and South Garland High School. I studied biochemistry at Texas A&M University in College Station (unusual for a Pre-K principal, right?). I received my master’s in Education Administration from Texas A&M University-Commerce. My teaching career started in Oak Cliff for a few years, taught in Mesquite for four years, and then taught Math and Science at Toler Elementary in Garland. I’ve been a school administrator since 2006. I have been at Cisneros since 2017.
My wife and daughter are also products of Garland ISD. My daughter recently graduated from Texas A&M (I’ll talk Aggie football and A&M with you all day!) I have a ton of pride in Garland ISD and firmly believe in the power of education. I absolutely know that Cisneros is the right place for your child!
Our school motto is “Where Little People Do Big Things.” I want your child’s time at Cisneros to be fun, exciting, and puts them on a path to a great future. If you have any questions or concerns, please feel free to reach out to me or one of my staff members. Garland ISD and Cisneros PreK… it’s where their future begins!

Howdy Cubby Nation!!! After 23 years, on a journey filled with excitement and a variety of twists and turns, I AM elated to become a member of such an extraordinary community. I have served at the elementary, middle school, high school and district levels, but it feels wonderful to return to Early Childhood Education… where the foundation is built.
I was born and raised not far from U.T. in Austin, but a trip down Highway 6-- to College Station-- made me forever an Aggie Girl! After graduation, the teaching bug and my love of tiny humans drew me to education. Prior to becoming a cubby, I held roles as a classroom teacher, grade level chair, cheer coach, mentor teacher, instructional coach, assistant principal, a district early learning instructional specialist and a specialist in the Office of Racial Equity.
I have a genuine passion for early childhood, lifelong learning and servant leadership. I hope to continue to grow and “Do Big Things” within my new community of co-workers, parents and “littles”. When I’m not working toward my many goals, you will find me enjoying: the love of my life, my close family and friends, good music and yummy food.
