Birthday Book Celebration
When students have a birthday they get to come to the library where they receive a free book, bookmark, and birthday pencil. The student gets to wear a special pair of cupcake glasses while the librarian sings Happy Birthday to them.

We had a special guest reader for our students from one of our very own students from Ms. Crenshaw's class. Please click on the link below to hear the wonderful reading from our cubby.

Cubby's message to students
Cubby can not wait for students to visit the library and check out books. Cubby loves reading and wants everyone to love it as well.
The goal here at Cisneros is to develop a love of reading and books for the children and parents. The more we expose our children to a variety of books, the more they will learn to love them.
Dr. Seuss quote
"The more that you read, the more things you will know. The more that you learn, the more places you'll go.”
Importance of Reading
If a child reads for 20 minutes every day, they are exposed to about 1.8 million words of text every year. That is 137 new words per minute!
