Practicing Social and Emotional Wellness

Students are fostering and exhibiting their social and emotional health wellness skills through the use of sensory bins in the library.  Every Monday we do an SEL book and activity.

Cubby's message to students

Cubby can not wait for students to visit the library and check out books.  Cubby loves reading and wants everyone to love it as well.

Library goal

The goal here at Cisneros is to develop a love of reading and books for the children and parents.  The more we expose our children to a variety of books, the more they will learn to love them.

Dr. Seuss quote

"The more that you read, the more things you will know.   The more that you learn, the more places you'll go.”

Importance of Reading

If a child reads for 20 minutes every day, they are exposed to about 1.8 million words of text every year. That is 137 new words per minute!
