2024-2025 Pre- K and Kindergarten Enrollment
Dear Parents
Open Enrollment for Pre K and K starts on April 1, 2024. You will have to do the enrollment on line through Skyward. Each parent will have to set up an account before starting the enrollment process unless you have other children in the district and already have an account set up.
Please see school operations regarding enrollment.
Please provide the following documents with you when enrolling your child.
- Proof of Residency in GISD
- Contract/lease agreement or
- Most current utility bill (water, gas, or electric)
- Birth Certificate
- Immunization records
- Social Security Card (if available)
Child Care Group Head Start/ Public Pre-K Programs
Using the Head Start/Public Pre K program models, Child Care Group provides the highest quality early childhood education services that helps to prepare children for success in kindergarten and beyond supporting the cognitive, emotional, language, physical and social development of young children. This program has partnered with the Garland Independent School District for qualified families.
All children and parents enrolled in these programs receive:

Low teacher-student ratios/ Collaboration of GISD certified teacher and CCG Co-teachers in the partnership classrooms

GISD curriculum

Individualized Education for each child
-
CLASS certified classrooms

Comprehensive educational and developmental assessments

Annual height, weight, vision, dental and hearing screenings

Free school supplies and snacks
-
Parent volunteer opportunities

Two Generation supports and resources

Social services
We follow Head Start/Public PreK guidelines to determine eligibility. Families qualify by meeting one of the following:

Head Start applications are now being accepted at Cisneros for children 4 years old on or before September 1st,2024. Child Care Group Head Start has partnered with Garland ISD for the past 5 years to support income eligible families in our community, however, space is limited apply now.
Benefits include-lower student/teacher ratio, school supplies, snacks, special events, additional Resource teacher to support the students, and family services.

Skyward family access
Maintaining open lines of communication between the school and home is vital in providing the best quality education to every student. Skyward Family Access allows easy, open lines of communication between the school and home. Students and parents can login to view attendance, grades, and calendars. Family Access is available anywhere with an internet connection. Please let the office know if you need assistance setting up an account or if any information needs to be updated.
