Administration
Principal: Kerstin Allen
Welcome back to another exciting year at Club Hill STEM Elementary School! As your principal, I couldn’t be more thrilled to embark on this journey with all of you. Throughout my years in Garland ISD, I've had the pleasure of wearing many hats – from general education teacher and interventionist to Instructional Support Teacher and administrator. Each role has deepened my commitment to serving our incredible students, parents, and faculty.
Building a supportive community where everyone thrives is at the heart of my leadership style. I truly believe that when we work together, we create a nurturing environment that fosters lifelong learning. This year, I am dedicated to collaborating with our amazing staff to provide our students with the best possible opportunities to prepare them for the challenges of the 21st century.
Our focus on STEM education is particularly exciting, as it unlocks endless possibilities for our students. By fostering critical thinking, creativity, and innovation, we empower our students to explore and excel in science, technology, engineering, and mathematics. The skills they develop through STEM will pave the way for their future success and open doors to limitless opportunities.
I am eagerly looking forward to partnering with you and your child to achieve remarkable accomplishments this year. Together, we will help your child reach new heights and strive for greatness! Let's make this year unforgettable!
Assistant principal: Leila Toribio Lopez
Hi! My name is Leila Toribio, and I am the assistant principal for Pre-K through 5th. I am so excited to be a part of the Club Hill Elementary STEM family as we provide a safe and fun learning environment for each student. I am beginning my 18th year in education and my eleventh year here in Garland ISD. I have taught 1st, 2nd, 3rd, and 4th grade. I have taught both general education, talented and gifted, and bilingual classes. I worked one year with the bilingual curriculum department in GISD before transitioning over to my role as an assistant principal. I am currently serving my 7th year as an assistant principal. As I eagerly jump into this current year, it is my hope to help facilitate a welcoming learning environment for all students, teachers, and staff here in the Club Hill family and in Garland ISD. My educational background consists of a bachelor’s degree in Spanish and Education from UMass Amherst, and a master’s degree in Elementary Education with a Principal Certification K-12.
I am happily married to my husband of 15 years, we have two amazing girls who also attend GISD schools, and one cat Cooper that keeps us occupied. We enjoy Friday movie nights, gardening, spending time exploring, and enjoying a good meal with family and friends. I look forward to this new school year! I see a great future and amazing potential in each and every one of your children. Go Cougars!
