Principal: Kerstin Allen
I am thrilled to kick off another year as the principal of Club Hill Elementary School. Over the years, I have held various roles such as a general education teacher, interventionist, Instructional Support Teacher, and administrator at the elementary school level within Garland ISD. Serving the students, parents, and faculty is a great privilege for me. My leadership style is centered around serving others, and I strongly believe that building a supportive community is key to developing lifelong learners. As we progress through the academic year, I will work closely with our staff to provide the students at Club Hill and Club Hill STEM with the best possible opportunities to prepare them for the challenges of the 21st century. My door is always open, and I welcome your input. I am excited about the opportunity to work with you and your child to achieve incredible accomplishments this year. Together, we will help your child strive for greatness!
Assistant principal: Leila Toribio Lopez
Hi! My name is Leila Toribio, and I am the assistant principal for Pre-K through 5th. I am so excited to be a part of the Club Hill Elementary STEM family as we provide a safe and fun learning environment for each student. I am beginning my 18th year in education and my eleventh year here in Garland ISD. I have taught 1st, 2nd, 3rd, and 4th grade. I have taught both general education, talented and gifted, and bilingual classes. I worked one year with the bilingual curriculum department in GISD before transitioning over to my role as an assistant principal. I am currently serving my 7th year as an assistant principal. As I eagerly jump into this current year, it is my hope to help facilitate a welcoming learning environment for all students, teachers, and staff here in the Club Hill family and in Garland ISD. My educational background consists of a bachelor’s degree in Spanish and Education from UMass Amherst, and a master’s degree in Elementary Education with a Principal Certification K-12. I am happily married to my husband of 14 years, we have two amazing girls who also attend GISD schools, and one cat Cooper that keeps us occupied. We enjoy Friday movie nights, gardening, spending time exploring, and enjoying a good meal with family and friends. I look forward to this new school year! I see a great future and amazing potential in each and every one of your children. Go Cougars!
