From Nurse Michelle: Hello, my name is Michelle Moore, and I am thrilled to serve as Cooper’s School Nurse again this year! I received my degree from The Chicago School in 2020. I am a licensed Registered Nurse and have worked all over the United States as a travel nurse, but school nursing is the most rewarding job I’ve ever had.

My husband and I will be celebrating our 20^th wedding anniversary in January (wow!). Our son Connor is a Marketing Director for a law firm in Chicago, and his wife, Emma is a Digital Marketing Manager. Our son Nathan is a PhD student at Georgia Tech in Atlanta (he’s a real-life rocket scientist!). We have a dog named Tigger, and you will see him doing all kinds of mischievous things around the clinic this year.

Did you know school nurses do more than just bandages and ice packs?  My priorities as a school nurse are keeping our students healthy, safe, and in the learning environment. I also provide health education, perform health screenings, and ensure our school is meeting state health requirements.
