Preparing for college

Cooper is now an AVID school. (Advancement Via Individual Determination)  It is Cooper's primary goal to prepare our students for college, career, or military readiness.  It is important to start with a strong academic foundation in elementary school to prepare students for future success. Currently, AVID strategies are used in 33 of our elementary schools. These strategies are used in daily lessons across entire grade levels. Our goal is to give all students access to a path to success.

Attendance matters

attendance matters cougar paw

Send the message to your children that school is important by attending school regularly. Students who attend school regularly are more likely to pass reading and math assessments than students who do not.

Your commitment to school attendance will also send a message to your child that education is a priority for your family, going to school every day is a critical part of educational success, and that it's important to take your responsibilities seriously.
