Attendance Matters!
Cooper families, let's work together to ensure our students are hitting attendance goals! This year, we will be tracking attendance percentage by grade level, the grade with the highest attendance percentage will earn a prize each month! Additionally, our students who miss two days or less over a nine-week period will get to attend a special celebration with their classmates. We know life can get crazy, and want to recognize you and your student’s dedication to learning!
Why is attendance so important?
- Regular attendance sets the foundation for future achievements
- Missing even 2 days a month adds up to 30 hours of math & 60 hours of reading/writing
- Regular attendance allows students to build better relationships and community at school!
- If students miss often, their school will receive less funding for learning resources
