Cooper Art

Mr. Nigo

I create art to create artists!

Hello! My name is Nicholas Nigo. I am excited to be joining the Cooper team as the new Art Teacher this year! I graduated from UNT with a BA in Visual Arts Studies. I specialize in digital art as well as watercolor illustrations!

Things to know about the art room:

  • I see the students once a week for 50 minutes.

  • We take donations and I am always in need of baby wipes for cleaning messes. We also need Kleenex.

  • Art projects are broken up into smaller steps and may take six weeks to complete.

  • Art works will be displayed throughout the building and off campus at various times in the year.  Look for further information regarding this at a later date.

  • Feel free to contact me if you have any questions.

Art Club

Here are the major points of the club:

  • Members of the Art Club are required to maintain a 75% grade average and not have discipline problems in the classroom environment.
  • Art Club will provide the student with opportunities to increase their artistic skills and creativity as well as involve them in a worthwhile school activity.
  • We will participate in individual, school-wide, and community projects which will increase each student’s confidence as well as help develop a sense of school and community pride.
