I am thankful for the opportunity to serve as an Assistant Principal at Coyle Technology Center for Math and Science. Returning to the campus where my educational journey began has made this opportunity especially meaningful, and I am excited to serve the students, families, and staff of the Cougar community.
I earned my Bachelor of Science in Psychology from Texas Christian University and my Master of Education in Administration from Lamar University. Prior to joining Coyle as assistant principal, I spent 25 years teaching high school Psychology in Garland ISD and serving as a department chair and Assistant Principal intern at Rowlett High School.
In addition to my campus experience, I have served in several leadership roles with the College Board for AP Psychology, including the AP Reading, the AP Psychology Development Committee, and the AP Psychology course redesign. These opportunities have allowed me to collaborate with educators across the country while continuing to grow as an instructional leader.
I believe that strong relationships, high expectations, and a supportive learning environment are essential to student success. I am committed to working alongside our students, staff, and families to ensure every Cougar has the opportunity to learn, grow, and thrive.
Outside of school, I enjoy spending time with my husband, our 19-year-old daughter, and family and friends. I also love good books, good movies, good music, and good people.
I look forward to partnering with our students, families, and staff as we continue building a culture of excellence at Coyle Technology Center for Math and Science. Together, we will make this an incredible year for our Cougar community.
